Blackberry Storm 2 Review

Every single mobile phone manufacturer has put out a direct competitor to the iPhone, and RIM is no different. The Blackberry Storm 2 is their answer to the iPhone, and it comes as close as any to matching the features and benefits of the iPhone.

Design
The Storm 2 is actually deceptively small in real life. While it has a 3.25 inch screen, there is not much space around it so the overall package is quite compact. The screen is very high resolution and offers clear images and minimal glare. Unlike the iPhone, there are the four traditional Blackberry buttons on the bottom, which makes normal calling much easier than just using the touch screen.

Key Features
The main thing that differentiates the Storm 2 from the iPhone is the clickable screen. All touch screen phones offer some tactile feedback, but the Storm 2 screen actually clicks. The Storm 2 also has a high quality camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and many other great features that you would expect from a top of the line mobile phone from RIM.

Final Verdict
The Blackberry Storm 2 is one of the closest competitors to the Apple iPhone. It comes as close as any other phone to unseating the iPhone as king of the marketplace. If the Blackberry faithful want a touch screen smart phone, there is no doubt that they will choose this over the iPhone. It is a viable competitor, and you should definitely check it out before you make your final decision.
